The organization shall be known as the Indian Christian Human Rights Federation (ICHRF). It is a non-profit, non-governmental, non-partisan body with its registered head office in Udupi, Karnataka.
This Constitution governs the Indian Christian Human Rights Federation (ICHRF), adopted at the Founding Convention, Udupi, Karnataka in 2008 and last amended in 2023.
It establishes the organization's purpose, structure, membership rules, and operational principles to ensure transparent, democratic, and community-focused governance.
The organization shall be known as the Indian Christian Human Rights Federation (ICHRF). It is a non-profit, non-governmental, non-partisan body with its registered head office in Udupi, Karnataka.
Membership is open to all Indian Christians aged 18 and above who subscribe to the aims of the Federation and agree to abide by this Constitution. Categories include General Member, Life Member, Institutional Member, and Honorary Member.
The Federation is governed by the National General Body (NGB), the National Executive Committee (NEC), State Chapters in each state, and Standing Committees for Legal, Women's Affairs, Youth, Media, and Finance.
Elections to the National Executive Committee are held every three years at the National General Body meeting. All members in good standing are eligible to vote. An independent Election Commission oversees the process.
The financial year runs from 1st April to 31st March. All accounts are maintained in nationalized banks in the name of the Federation and are audited annually by a Chartered Accountant appointed by the NEC.
This Constitution may be amended by a two-thirds majority vote at a National General Body meeting, provided the proposed amendment was circulated to all members at least 30 days in advance.
The Federation may be dissolved by a three-fourths majority of the National General Body. Upon dissolution, all remaining assets shall be transferred to an organization with similar objectives, as decided by the NGB.
